I have to wonder if that library has any real books in it, or if it's just another fade illusion. If so, give me three hours at the most (half of one is more likely) and I could likely tell you what kind of magic made these journals.

If I'm your future, then I would remember having this conversation with myself. It would be very hard to forget something like that. So I do think it's safe to say that no, I am not your future. If this is some thinly veiled attempt at calling me old, I am going to need to have some very strong words with myself later.

Different strings of time would be my first thought. Something I'd put some research into some time ago, after that fun little trip to the potential future and back.

That isn't raw lyrium. What is it? Fade-touched quicksilver? Impractical application for something of that nature. Better to make armor (or jewelry) out of it.

Now that is a tragedy. But I'm certain we can find other ways to amuse ourselves, especially if you're willing to tell me more about these designs you have been drawing. Fascinating work. I can already see so many applications toward my own research.

They're just doodles. The electronic databases didn't always load correctly on some of the older ships. It was helpful to have little talent in sketching.

I was afraid of greying once, but it turns out that a little bit at the temples does wonders for the, "I know exactly what I'm doing and where to put my hands," look.

And yes, almost certainly. Where Bull and I come from is vastly different from anything else I have heard so far. I find I prefer that, actually. It lets us both remain unique.

Minrathos is a mechanical wonder. The high families live in a city that floats miles above the ground, powered by massive engines and ever-renewing magical bursts. We fly in great machines, like birds made of metal, and our magic appears to be a mix of the arcane and the scientific. Tali's drawings are more advanced than anything I've seen, but they are similar to my own work.

I wouldn't know what to do with a staff, unless you wanted me to beat someone over the head with it.

Oh, do carry on. Normally I only receive compliments from myself while standing in front of a mirror, this is a rare treat.

I can imagine the Dwarves are much more highly regarded in such a world, if it is to say they are just as inclined in engineering. I could see how it would work, though. If you can infuse runes, clothing, and weapons with lyrium, why not buildings? Carriages? Entire cities, for that matter! Brilliant!
