Nothing about pretending to be someone you aren't is proper. If you haven't already--and judging by your existence here, I'd say you have in some way--leave. At the time, I'd thought it was the hardest decision I would ever make, but after knowing the person I came because of it, it was the only decision to make. It isn't worth it, to live by their rules.
