"Look at this book, it's probably a demon's trap. Let's write in it!" Yes, Dorian, this is one of your best ideas yet. Write in the demon journal for no other reason than to satisfy your own curiosity. You haven't learned anything.

I amend: Write to yourself in the demon journal. That's better.

I suppose I should ask the obvious question (especially since I'm likely to get asked myself) but...what's a dwarf? And an elf, and a qunari? Does that have anything to do with the Qun thing that Varric mentioned earlier?

Elves are very similar to humans, except we have smaller frames and height and we are lighter too. The pointy ears usually give us away. Elves used to rule Thedas until the fall of our civilization and after a long time of slavery, we're little more than second class citizens. The dwarves are shorter than elves and humans, far bulkier. They built their cities underground and people says their Deep Roads run all over the continent, though most of it crumbled after many Blights and Darkspawn attacks.

The Qunari are the followers of the Qun, yes. Their original race was called Kossith, though there is nothing more than legends about them. The Qunari are taller than humans, more muscular and they have horns, hard to mistake. Their society is based on order and they give up their individuality, being assigned to roles at some age and identifying themselves through such roles.

Wow. It's like reading descriptions of the Council races in cultural sensitivity class all over again.

Though we Quarians never ruled over the galaxy though we're definitely treated as second-class citizens. And the Krogen definitely don't all give up their individuality to follow a written code.

And how is the space?

Space is...big. Vastly, hugely, mind-bogglingly big. And inhabited. By too many species to count.

The Council likes to pretend it is a group of representatives from the most civilized, advanced species in the galaxy, working together for peaceful co-existence and prosperity. The Asari, the Turians, and the Salarians, all banding together to steer the galaxy in the right direction.

Shepard will tell you that's a pile of varren shit. I agree.

Humans are new to galactic politics. They only showed up about 30 years ago. They, and the Quarians, Krogen, Volus, Elcor, Drell, Hanar, Batarians, Vorcha...they are all non-Council races - not considered "civilized" or "advanced" or "wealthy" enough to be on the Council.

And that's just the recognized species. I'm sure we'll find more civilization, just clambering for attention.

Wow... this is very fascinating.
I really wish I could see it someday, though I believe I wouldn't understand a quarter of it.

If we ever get the Normandy's computer systems online, I'm sure Shepard would be willing to help educated you. He's certainly done his fair share for the Galaxy, and making history.

Well, it would certainly be an honor to travel with such hero.
