Marian walked for some time in Skyhold, trying to find any clues about her reason for being dragged to that place. She could bet her ass she was still in the Fade by the looks of the sky, but the lack of demons trying to rip her heart from her chest only made her uneasy.

Through the battlements, she thought of hearing some noise coming from the garden. At last, looks like I'll meet the demon who brought me here...
Carefully, she went down stairs, facing the door to the small chapel; if memory served her well, best not fight inside such tight place. Back glued to the wall, left hand on the pommel of her sword, she pushed the door open with her right hand, and waited.

Marian chuckled.

"Sparrow Hawke? This name sounds like a bad parental joke." then she frowned at the sudden realization "In fact, a joke my father used to do whenever people asked him how would he call me if I were a boy."

"The sense of humor is a family trait, then," he said with a little scoffing chuff of laughter. "You are a cousin, perhaps? Sparrow, Bethany and Carver, offspring of Leandra and Malcolm."

Hawke had never mentioned cousins beyond the Amells, but then, personal history and family had always been a touchy subject.

"Cousin? No. Bethany and Carver are my siblings. I'm the oldest to Leandra and Malcolm. There is no Sparrow Hawke. Not that I'm aware off."

He narrowed his eyes. "No," Fenris said. "You are wrong."

Marian rolled her eyes.

"Wait a minute; who do you think you are to know more about my family than myself? And, following you own logic, you are the wrong one since you're not acting like the Fenris I know. We can stay here and argue endlessly about who is right or not or we can go find some real answers."

Fenris considered that--and her--for a long minute. The Champion had grown famous since his defeat of the Arishok. It stood to reason that some poor, confused woman might hero worship him enough to imagine that she was him.

"Very well," Fenris said gruffly. He didn't like it, but he was willing to play along for now. "I will follow your lead for now."

I enjoy following you. His scowl deepened at that old memory.

"Okay." she went through the corridor "Just saw some shattered glass over there, where the witch of the wilds left her Eluvian. I'm not much into elven magic, but I guess this is a start. Shall we?"

He curled his lip. "Another eluvian?" Fenris muttered, following her on light, bare feet. "Is Merrill's hand in this one as well?"

"No, not as far as I can tell. Varric told me this woman, Morrigan if I quite recall, brought with her all way from Orlais. She and the Inquisitor had a plan involving the mirror and its ability as a portal, of sorts."

"...the Inquisitor."

The word meant nothing to him.

"Yes, the Inquisitor. The person leading the Inquisition. Who closed the Breach on the sky...?"

Marian quirked an eyebrow, hoping that could ring a bell.

Fenris gave a faint shake of his head. "My attention has been restricted to Kirkwall these last few years," he explained.

"Is not like someone can simply disregard a giant hole in the sky. The year... what year is it?"

Giant...hole in the sky?

"9:37 Dragon," Fenris said. "What are you suggesting?"

"That explain why you missed the Breach. I came from 9:41 Dragon."

"How?" Then, "Time magic. Some fool has been toying with time."

"Not only time magic, considering we were dragged from whatever places we were. But yes, someone is toying with us."

He bore down against the urge to take a swing at something, immediately tense as a closed fist, but Fenris just nodded once, sharply. Keeping in control.

Marian snorted, just as annoyed as Fenris with the whole sittuation. She strode to where the Eluvian was supposed to be, resisting the urge to groaning at the sight of broken glass, shards and pieces of it everywhere; the Eluvian was broken.

That couldn't mean well.

"It is good that it's broken," Fenris said from behind her...but the words came out slow and almost hesitant. He wasn't sure at all whether this was a good thing.

"Good? Yea, maybe, considering I'm not a mage and I wouldn't know what to do about it anyway. Maker, I wish Anders or Merrill was here."

She changed her weight from one leg to another, turning to face that weird Fenris "Any ideas of what should we do know? Maybe look for more people?"

"That would seem...wise," he said slowly. "We will split paths and meet here again in three hours. That should give us time to search."

That should also give him time to stop feeling ready to bare his teeth at every new surprise he saw. He needed a moment to collect himself again.

"Sounds reasonable. If something gets out of control before these three hours... well, let's hope things don't get to it. Take care Fenris."

He nodded sharply. "And you as well...Hawke. If I hear you call for help, I will come."

With that, he hurried out of the room with the broken magical mirror and the strange Hawke who was and wasn't his own.
