While Lady Inquisitor and the others are out, I believe we should discuss which measures take to keep Skyhold safe from Certainty and its owner. Things have been quiet for now and we have several new guests, unaware of the past events, so I believe an exchange of information is the best course of action for now.
In case you're wondering, the sword is hidden somewhere safe.

Reports from that time says the Knight-Commander placed Kirkwall under martial law and requested the Right of Annulment in advance from Divine Justinia after being exposed to Certainty. The Red Lyrium also granted a huge power to the sword, even capable of vivify statues in the Gallows. Ultimately, the Red Lyrium was responsible for her utter corruption and death, turning her into a statue.

Date: 2015-09-22 12:43 am (UTC)From:The Circle of Magi is the place our mages are taken in for training, kept away from the common folk. The First Enchanter is the mage responsible for overseeing the circle and its practices, guiding the apprentices with the help of senior mages and enchanters. The Knight-Commander is responsible for overseeing the circle as well, protecting the mages from abominations and any kind of misuse of magic with their Templars. If the circle is corrupted by Blood Magic or Demons, the responsible Knight-Commander has the right to ask for the annulment of said circle, to prevent such dangers from reaching the people. And of course such decision can't be made solely on the Knight-Commander's opinion, they must prove the annulment is necessary. At least in theory.
And, as you can probably guess, the relation between mages and templars is of mutual benefit mostly only in theory as well.
