Neria woke up again few hours later, she thought, though there wasn't a way to keep track of time on that place, the sky always look the same through the window. Alistair still had his arms wrapped around her and she felt so warm and comfortable that staying in bed seemed like an marvelous idea. She readjusted in bed, to free her arm, and snuggled closer to him, closing her eyes again.

"Better. But..." she stared the tub "I was wondering if you'd like to accompany me?"

It took Alistair craning his neck around to see what she was staring at to understand the question through his still pleasantly sleep-fogged brain.

"Oh. 'Course."

Neria kissed the tip of his nose, joyful. Propping herself up with her hands, she stretched her arms above her head, elbows popping with a soft noise.

She stretched her neck and rolled her shoulders, still sitting by the bedside.

Alistair sat up more slowly. He reached for her shoulders and squeezed, thumbs massaging gently, then bent to press a kiss to the side of her neck.

Neria sighed with the touch, leaning to it, eyes closed in contentment.

"Oh please, don't stop."

Alistair hummed, scooting closer and bracketing her with his thighs on either side of her hips. His big hands worked their way down her back and then up to her shoulders again, kneading firmly.

Neria melted under his hands, humming in approval. Head falling forward, chin resting near her collarbone, her side twitched a little under his hand and she giggled, softly.

Alistair pressed a kiss between her shoulder blades and chuckled at the giggle.

"What?" he asked, amused, sliding one hand down her side and tickling there.

Neria arched her back away from him, laughing.

"No, not fair!

Alistair used her movement to slide his hand around her side and flatten it against her stomach, pulling her back towards him. He bent his head to kiss her, open-mouthed and breathless and eager.

Neria kissed him back, slightly surprised, parting her lips for him. She turned, cupping his jaw with one hand to deepen the kiss, her free arm wrapping his neck, her side leaning on him.

Alistair hummed his approval into the kiss, wrapped both arms around her middle now, licked his way into her mouth.

"Hmm, vhenan..."

Neria pulled away, breathless, chest rising and falling in heavy pants. She turned to face Alistair, her breasts pressed against his chest. "We aren't going to make it to the tub now, right?" she chuckled

Alistair stroked her cheek. "I mean..." He bent to kiss her nose. "After last night, love, it's pretty much whatever you want. What do you want? Anything. Tub, bed, anything."

She laughed, nuzzling his nose, then moving to nuzzle his jaw and ear "Creators, what have I done to you?". Neria wrapped his neck with both arms, tilting her head so slightly "Join me in the tub. I miss relaxing with you."

Alistair rolled his eyes slightly and chuckled. "I'm just not sure how much you got out of that, is all." He kissed her cheek. "But relaxing with you sounds lovely."

"Oh, I certainly had my fun, believe me." she bit his lower lip, chuckling "But you don't have to compensate for anything, you know that."

Neria pulled away now, motioning to the tub. She used a spell to heat the water and entered, a long, satisfied sigh leaving her lips. "And if you are so concerned about it, cuddle with me, now. That's an order, warden." she winked

Alistair laughed. "I know, love, I know."

He slid off the bed and followed her to the tub, settling in to sit behind her and then snuggled her against his chest, wrapping his arms around her with a sigh of contentment.

Neria purred, melting on his arms "Oh, this is good. Really good. I could stay here the whole day."

Alistair kissed the top of her head. "I'm not opposed. Might get a bit pruny after a while though."

"I don't mind. Definitely not after all these years wandering in the Western Approach and in the Deep Roads." she rested the back of her head on his shoulder, kissing his jaw "Do you mind scrubbing my back?"

Alistair wrinkled his nose. "The Deep Roads in particular are very smelly, aren't they?" He reached for the soap and another of the washcloths he'd set out already. "Of course not."

He nudged her to sit forward slightly and then pressed a kiss to her shoulder before he began.

"Creators, nothing about being a Warden, or a mage, or a fighter, ever prepares you to face the stench from their nests."

Neria settled, to give Alistair more room to wash her back.

"They could at least take a bath once a week. Once I found this beautiful underground fountain in the Deep Roads. Fresh water, completely clean, just perfect. They don't have much of an excuse."

Alistair chuckled. "I don't think cleanliness has ever been high on their list of priorities, my dear. Something to do with the fact that the only thing that drives them is the need to dig and delve until they find an archdemon, I assume."

"You're right. But as far as we know, they seek for the Old Gods' Calling. Gods, for goodness sake! Couldn't they imprint the Calling with something else? Perhaps higher hygiene standards?" she chuckled "Take the Architect's lair as an example. The place is as clean as it could be, all things considered."

She glanced at Alistair over her shoulder, smiling "Have I told you how much I missed this?"
