Hi all!
The eluvian has upped its levels of crazy fuckery. Now it has begun luring characters to it (either through literally teleporting them there or by mind control--up to you) and sending them into alternate universes for a time. What does this mean for you?
1. Characters have started to go missing. Because of the weird passage of time here (one character may experience a full week while another experiences only a day or two) and the general oddness of the Fade in general, you may not fully realize someone has gone missing. You may get a sense that something is off, or have a hard time remembering the last time you saw them--or you can be very aware that they are gone. Any reaction works perfectly fine. These characters are out of active gameplay but can be spit back out by the eluvian at any time to rejoin active play. This is a very good way to deal with characters who suddenly go quiet, or for ways to write your own characters aside if you know you'll be gone for a week or so and won't be able to keep up with gameplay.
I've gone ahead and looked through our list of characters and marked everyone who seemed to have gone quiet. These characters are missing. Please do look through the list, and if you see any who shouldn't be there--or you're friends with their player and want to nudge them to see if they want to be on the list or not--let me know. This doesn't mean they are out of the game, I stress. It just means they are currently elsewhere and can come bounding back at any moment.
2. This eluvian fuckery also means that new avenues of gameplay are open to you. Do you want to explore a thread in another universe? Go spelunking through various different settings? Just get away from the castle for a time? Either willing or unwillingly go through the eluvian and you can experience this! Time can pass very differently in these other worlds, and you have no control over where you're going (at least not yet; that will come soon! Ping me if you want to be part of the team that exerts control over the eluvian.) The big rule is you can't go home. Not yet at least. But as more and more control is exerted, home becomes closer and closer.
Whenever you go elsewhere for a thread, just make clear in the subject line where you are so we can all follow along!
