Alistair had located food enough for dinner from the kitchens. The supplies there were looking a little low, and they'd been here long enough for it to be clear that the food wasn't replenishing itself. So that was worrisome. They would probably need to start rationing soon, something he undoubtedly should speak to Cullen about. Later.

Back in their room, he set out the bread and slightly mealy looking apples and cheese, and then made the bed, stoked the fire, went wandering through the castle and found a rather large bathtub (big enough for the both of them, he thought, if they squeezed a bit, which would certainly not be the worst thing in the world), which he succeeded in dragging back to their room with more effort than he was keen to admit to. He went and fetched water enough to fill it, figuring Neria could warm it whenever they felt like actually using it.

And then that was pretty much everything distracting he could find for himself to do. He supposed he could go and find Anders, or Sigrun, or even his king self, all of them would be pleasant enough conversation, but then Neria wouldn't know where he was, and he wanted to be here for when she came back. It served the double purpose of letting him know she wasn't back yet as well, so he could go down to those dungeons and stab that old bat in the face, if need be.

He perched on the edge of the bed and folded his hands in his lap and bounced up and down lightly with impatience.

He probably should have just insisted on going with her.

"Oh." she tilted her head, a grin slowly spreading wide on her lips "Ohhhh. I can work with that, if you want."

Neria pressed a kiss on his lips, tugging his shirt to press him closer.

"Yeah?" Alistair smiled, big and earnest and boyish, dipping his head to kiss her back.

"I mean, only if you want to too, of course, love."

"And lose the chance to order you around? Not in this life."

She smiled, enjoying the idea. Perhaps enjoying too much the idea. "We'll need a safeword. Something you can easily remember in case you want to stop."

Alistair nodded, trying not to look too eager.

"All right. Um, mabari?"

"Mabari it is." she agreed, pulling away from him.

Neria gaited all the way to the bathtub, dipping a hand in the fresh water, fingertips shining with a fire magic to warm it. Once she was done, she settled on the bed edge, back turned to Alistair, stretching the wet hand away from her. She cleaned her throat and waited.

Alistair hesitated, uncertain. "Um." He widened his stance and stood ready, clasping his hands behind his back in a position left over from his days as a templar recruit.

"What is it you want, love?" he tried, when she didn't say anything.

"Love?" she shook her head briefly, tutting, her voice cold and assertive when she spoke. "You will refer to me as Commander from now on. And don't stand there, sulking, warden. My hand is wet. I need a towel."

Neria wondered if she was pushing him too hard for a start, but kept with the act.

Alistair flushed, rocking on his feet, an excited nervous kind of energy flooding him.

"Yes, Commander," he mumbled, bowing his head. He crossed to grab one of the towels he'd set out on a chair by the tub earlier. Unfolding it with a flick of his wrist bordering on a flourish, he knelt in front of her and held it out meekly.

She took the towel without looking at him, drying her hand before tossing it to the side. Neria stood up, unlacing her shirt and tossing it to the side once she made her way back to the bathtub, unlacing her trousers and bending slightly to remove them, giving Alistair a deliberate magnificent view of her backside. Her breastband and smalls joined the other pieces, all of her movements slow and thought to entice him.

"Help me in the tub and to wash my back."

Alistair stayed on the floor as she moved, keeping his hands carefully by his sides, and his mouth went dry as she undressed.

He moved quickly when she spoke again, offering her his hand to hold as she stepped into the tub, reaching for a washcloth and the bar of soap as she got settled. He held up the soapy cloth a moment later, waiting for her to lean forward so he could get her back before he followed the second half of that command.

She leaned, chin resting just over her knees so he could reach her back, elbows resting on the sides of the tub, giving him the perfect view of the curve of her breasts.

This, though, pleasing her, touching her in ways that made her sigh - he'd already known what that did to him. He moved the cloth back to the spot between her shoulder blades, dragging it just slightly softer against her skin than before.

Neria sighed again, before dismissing the motion with her hand.

"That's good enough." she leaned, resting her back in the tub, all of her naked body visible now, water running down her breasts. Stretching her right leg, she placed her heel over the edge. "Now, legs."

Her eyes were dark with desire, but she was holding the act far better than she expected. To tease him, to see him comply every order had an... appeal she had never really considered before.

Alistair shifted on his knees and shuffled down a few feet towards her leg, attempting to ignore his own arousal very clearly now straining against his trousers. He paused, tilting his head, and took a moment to consider whether it would be better to start at the bottom of her leg and work his way up, or vice versa.

She had presented him with her foot, though, so it would probably be best to start there. He soaped the bottom of her foot and then lifted her leg, one big hand under her calf, and scrubbed down.

Neria reached for his chin, turning his head to look at her with one finger. "Keep your eyes up, on my own. Don't look back." and she smiled mischievously as she settled back, watching him almost as if he was her prey.

She could see his arousal darkening his hazel eyes, could see how it stiffed his movements a bit, how he was holding himself, eager for her next order.

Alistair bit his lip. This would, he thought, make it a bit more difficult for him to actually do any kind of scrubbing effectively, and the question of it was clear in his hazel eyes, but he knew better than to dispute the order. He focused his eyes on hers, feeling his way down her leg just with his hands.

It was surprisingly erotic, the feel of her firm muscles under his palms and her eyes intent on him, that smug smirk she was wearing.

He drew in a shuddering breath.

Neria was having a hard time keeping her breath even, especially as his hands moved closer to her upper thigh. Her pulse was jumping on her neck and every time she breathed in, controlling her breathing, the muscles over collarbone twitched.

"Ne-" he stopped himself just in time. "Commander?" It was a simple word, but the question was in his eyes and the tilt of his head, the way his hands hesitated to keep moving down. Do you want me to continue?

Neria motioned her hand, a simple and vague gesture, pretending she wasn't feeling everything she was clearly feeling.

"Go on, warden."

Alistair tried hard not to smile, the lie in her gesture obvious, but his lips did twitch in what he was pretty sure was an insubordinate gesture. He ducked his head to hide it, breaking eye contact for a moment before he remembered and jerked his chin back up.

He washed further down her leg, hazel eyes wide, a little afraid she would chastise him for breaking an order. His stomach flipped slightly at the thought, and it wasn't all a bad sort of flipping, either, which was...interesting.

Her eyebrow quirked at his little transgression and he could see the gears on her mind working to find a suitable, a finger tapping the tub. She pulled her leg back, a plan clear on her eyes, tsk'ing.

"An order so simple." she shook her head, disappointed, and she stood up "Hand me my towel. And take your clothes off."

"Yes, Commander."

Alistair hurried to obey, draping the washcloth over the side of the tub, rocking back on his heels and standing to go and fetch the towel from where she'd tossed it aside with quick, jerky movements. He brought it back to her and waited until she took it before he took a step back and reached for the hem of his shirt, tugging it off and over his head, tossing it aside. He kicked off his boots and slid his trousers and smalls down over his hips, then stepped out of those too, and faced her again bare, his hands once more tucking themselves behind his back.

And normally he was completely comfortable with any level of undress around Neria, but this was different - he felt more exposed, more vulnerable, then he had in years. His cock, hard and flushed, bobbed up towards his abdomen.
